Frequently Asked Questions

What Happens At The Appointment?

Each client will have an initial consultation, which consists of a questionnaire about your health and lifestyle. This allows me to tailor treatments to each individual’s needs. A full foot reflexology treatment will then follow with the option of a mindful meditation exercise at the beginning.

If possible, please wear loose fitting trousers as there are aspects of the treatment that may require working on the lower legs.

For subsequent treatments, a brief consultation will take place at the beginning of each treatment. This allows for us to catch up on how you are doing/feeling etc, and for clients to ask any questions or revisit any aspects from the previous treatment. A full foot reflexology will follow.

Are There Any Contraindications?

Please refer to the contraindications for Foot Reflexology as these are the same for mindfulness.

How Often Are Treatments Recommended?

In an ideal world, to achieve the best results and to feel the full effects of mindful reflexology, it is recommended to begin with one treatment per week for at least the first 4-6 weeks.

The recommendations for frequency of appointments are a guideline to seeing quicker results but I appreciate each client's circumstances are not all the same. Reflexology needs to be given a fair chance and there does need to be some commitment to booking a few treatments to seeing the many benefits.

I strongly believe that small steps are key and build up slowly. There is no time limit or rush to achieving goals…it takes as long as it takes.

REMEMBER…ANY STEP FORWARD NO MATTER HOW SMALL IS STILL PROGRESS!  You can applaud yourself for this!
